Churros: Only 4 ingredients needed for this irresistible Spanish dessert

Do you like to cook specialties from around the world at home? Then you need to start making churros, a delicious sweet snack typical of the Iberian and Latin American culture. In our countries, they are also quite common, especially in the stands during festivities.

But you can also prepare them at home, it’s easier than it looks! We will see how to do it.

You need 140 g of 00 flour, 250 ml of water, a spoon of oil and half of salt.

Bring the water and oil to a boil in a saucepan. Turn off the heat as soon as it starts to boil.

Add the salt to the flour, then pour in the hot water.

Mix ingredients until smooth and lump-free.

Pour the mixture into a pastry bag or gun

Fill the chosen instrument and use a star tip to obtain the characteristic shape of the churros.

We recommend that you apply a clothespin to the end to prevent the mixture from leaking.

On a sheet of parchment paper, create the slightly oval shape of the churros: you can cut off the excess dough with scissors.

You can also create churros in any other shape!

To avoid damaging the resulting shape, cut the parchment paper into squares and pour the churros into the very hot frying oil.

It only takes a few seconds for easy removal of the parchment paper.

Cook churros until golden on both sides.

Drain off excess oil and cool on a paper towel.

Sprinkle it with sugar and all you have to do is taste them!
