Collin Sexton agrees to sign-and-trade deal with Utah

Collin Sexton Has Signed A Four-Year, $72 Million Contract With The Utah Jazz Via Sign-And-Trade

As a part of deal, Collin Sexton signed a four-year, $72 million deal with the Utah Jazz via sign and trade. It seems as though the entirety of the contract is fully guaranteed. Collin Sexton has been a restricted free agent this summer, and he finally gets his multi-year lucrative contract.

We don't often see a young star like Donovan Mitchell get moved, but the writing was certainly on the wall for that move to happen. The Utah Jazz ended up trading Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier in the offseason, and it was only a matter of time before the Utah Jazz ended up moving their other star player to start a new era for the franchise.

The Utah Jazz will now have a young player that could potentially become a true star for the franchise in the future. It is clear that they are in a rebuilding process right now, and hopefully, they are able to get a top-tier draft pick this season and get an elite prospect such as Scoot Henderson or Victor Wembanyama.

Did you know?:  Sexton was a McDonald’s All-American coming out of high school in 2017, then made NBA all-rookie second team in 2019.
